my first attempt at knitting...

Here's the hat I made for my brandnew nephew....

I'm so excited!!!! I vaguely remember learning to knit in 4H when I was about 12 or 13, and I'm so glad that I figured out how to do it again!!!! {The knitting/crocheting tv shows sure help!!! Along with the front of the knit pattern books...}

This definitely is not "perfect", but it came out quite nicely, I think, especially for my first attempt!!!

Now, on to my next project!!!! My daughter's friend is having a baby this summer, I think I'll try this little sweater pattern!!!

We saw these pumpkins and mums for sale on the side of the road,
and Nanna wanted us to have our pictures taken with them!!!!

Here comes the guys!!!! Now we can go for a ride!!!! We had to let my father go around the block once on my bike, to get used to it, before riding with me on the back!!!!! Mother rode on the back of Art's....

one day, back in 2004, I was given the advice of observing my 5 month old G-baby, that he would teach me things,... I was going thru a rough time then....
The giver of that advice is now my husband, and I still admire the wisdom that he shares.

oh well, gotta run,.... Art's having tests done at the hospital today to see what's going on~~~~
